A Breakfast Menu Cover

Goal: This project was to create a menu for a breakfast-only restaurant specializing in egg dishes.

Challenge(s): Creating unique images that can be used over time as the actual menu changes. Eggs are a popular subject in several types of photography making repetition possible which must be avoided. The images should be usable in a variety of formats and color only production.

Solution: When this project was described to me, I immediately had two options in mind – something bright and “breakfasty”, and a still life. I decided to deliver both. The bright image is an egg with the shell removed becoming translucent (yes, a real egg. Thank you high school science class!)  The still life images were kept simple in composition to be sure the eggs remained prominent in the frames.

Result: A series of high quality, unique images that can be used over time as the menu changes as required. Each photo can be used for a menu cover on its own, or combined with others to be used for special-of-the-day cards, inserts, posters, advertisements, social media posts, and more.
