Leatherwork
Goal: This project was to provide new images for a creator’s web site.
Challenge(s): Creating final images that fit into the existing portfolio. Keeping the warm tone of the leather consistent across different lighting setups with different accessories. Leaving space for the client to add text. Keeping the logo visible in as many shows as possible.
Solution: I had to examine the existing portfolio to ge a feel of what wold fit, then plan my images accordingly. I didn’t want to duplicate anything, the images had to feel like they belong. Keeping this subject an an angle avoided a plain block arrangement and added some visual interest. Large modifiers were used to keep the light diffused across the image and remove hard reflective edges. Different backgrounds were used to give choices in the final images.
Result: Images that fit into an existing portfolio and show the client’s craftsmanship. These photographs can be used on social media, web sites, advertisements, mailings, and more. cations.
