PROJECTS

These images were created for a variety of projects. They were produced in my studio or on site using professional lights, modifiers, and other professional photography equipment.

Let’s talk about creating great images for your next project!

Stemware

This project was to show stemware in a variety of ways. I chose to use the same set of glasses and show them with two main lighting techniques – dark field and bright field lighting. Each series shows how delicate glassware can be photographed to show different aspects of the subjects.

A local coffee shop

This project was to get 4-6 images that can be used to advertise a place of business in a variety of media – print, social, web site, regular mail, email, and more.

A product and a person

The challenge of this assignment was to include a person in the shot without making that person the subject of the image. It sounds simple, but when a person is in the image, it can naturally make us focus on them and not the preferred subject.

Individual images from a car cruise

Car cruises are great events held all over the world. When there are a lot of cars parked close together, how can you get photos that make them look like there isn’t another car for miles around?  That was the challenge of this project.

Flatware

This was a creative challenge to create photographs that show flatware in unique and interesting ways.

Leatherwork

A handmade wallet deserves special photos for the creator’s website.

Grand Cherokee

The owner wanted a few photos of his Grand Cherokees using local sites for backgrounds. We found a few and made some brochure worthy photos.

Black Powder

A blacksmith asked me to create some images that would show the detail of his handmade black powder pistol. Both the maker and new owner were very happy with the results.

A HOT menu

The request for this project was to create a menu for a new Tex-Mex meets Thai restaurant that features HOT food.

Challenge accepted.

Bottle Study

The goal here was to study both dark and light field lighting on different glass bottles. The setup is straightforward with minimal number of modifiers used to create a variety of compositions.

Necklace Ad Mockup

Advertisement mockups allow you to see a variety of ideas for the same subject before your materials go to final production. This can save time and cost by giving you and your team the ability to visualize options before going to final print or pushing to various media.

A Breakfast Menu Cover

When a new restaurant opens that specializes in breakfast – and eggs are the highlight – they naturally want to highlight that on the cover of their menu. Eggs are a very popular item to photograph, so the final images really needed to stand out from the crowd.

Come Ride With Us

There are times when a company may need new images to work into an existing campaign that were created by a different photographer. This project was to create some photographs of a new motorcycle and a rider that could be included in existing Honda motorcycle brand advertisements.

Cosmetics

Cosmetics appear to be simple, straightforward items to photograph. However, a variety of colors, textures, and ability to reflect light make every subject a new and different challenge,

Handmade Custom Knives

When someone says, “They don’t make them like they used to”, this could be what they mean. A local craftsman makes each of these knives by hand to be period specific and customized for each new owner. This project was to create high quality photographs for the maker’s portfolio that could be used in the portfolio, social media, print and online advertisements, and more.

Ceramics

Ceramics come in a wide variety of colors, textures, and shapes. This project was to mock up a portfolio from a collection of vases to get a similar presentation for social media or catalog.
